Andrey's Trip Turkey to visit

Baykanlar

Baykanlar was one of the several factories I have visited during my trip to Turkey and India in June. It is a large facility with automation along all steps of style development and production. It starts with bar-coding rolls of fabrics. Automated spreaders and the laser cutting equipment are used in the next step of production. Many steps of sewing such as, back pocket attachment, fly and J-stitch assembly, waistband applications were fully or at least partially automated as well as steaming equipment in finishing area.  The most exciting step to see was the garment treatment and laundry facility. Automated chambers for PP (potassium permanganate) spray, laser burning equipment, automated garment transport systems were high tech. All washing machines were controlled from a computer command center. I wonder now, is “Skynet” alive? 😊
